FRESNO, Calif. – (box score) No. 1 seed Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) improves to 8-0 all-time in the Championship final and secured its eighth total hardware after defeating No. 15 seed The Master's (Calif.), 1-0 in the 2009 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship final. The event was hosted by Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University and the Fresno Sports Council from Ramirez Field.

The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. PST on Saturday from Ramirez Field. The final, which is hosted by Fresno Pacific (Calif.) The Quarterfinals wrapped up at the 2009 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship on Wednesday from Fresno, Calif. No. 1 seed Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) survived a scare by Methodist (Tenn.) but scored two second-half goals to win 2-1. The goal allowed by the Blue Raiders snapped a seven-match scoreless streak but, in the process, extended their winning streak to 10 games.

Other winners were No. 15 The Master's (Calif.), No. 3 Rio Grande (Ohio) and No. 5 Simon Fraser (B.C.). The Master's, members of the California Pacific Conference, advances to its first ever Semifinal. Rio Grande was the national runner-up from a year ago and will play in its fourth overall Semifinal match. A team with the second-most Championship wins all-time (40), Simon Fraser is appearing in its ninth overall Semifinal in its 22nd Championship.

DECATUR, Ala. - No. 2-seed Lee (Tenn.) recorded its fifth-consecutive shutout of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship to defeat unseeded Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.), 2-0, in Decatur, Ala. The Lady Flames scored two goals in the first half and played solid defense the rest of the way to win their second consecutive National Championship.

DECATUR, Ala. - The quarterfinals are in the books at the 2009 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship in Decatur, Ala. Unseeded Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) (15-4-3) is the talk of the tournament after stunning No. 1-seed Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) (19-3-2), 2-0 on Wednesday evening. The Sea Lions scored a goal in the first and second half on their way to shutting out the No. 1 team in NAIA women's soccer. It is the first time that Point Loma Nazarene has reached the semifinals of the National Championship. The Sea Lions are riding an eight game unbeaten streak heading in to the semifinals.

DECATUR, Ala. - No. 2-seed Lee (Tenn.) (19-2-1) rolls past the No. 7-seed Martin Methodist (Tenn.) (16-3-2), 3-0, in the 2009 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship in Decatur, Ala. The Lady Flames have an 18-game unbeaten streak dating back to Sept. 12, 2009 when they lost to 1-0, to Lindsey Wilson (Ky.).

Lee freshman Kim Conrad got the scoring started for the Lady Flames less than two minutes in to the match. The defender took a pass from senior midfielder Jenna Achten and deposited it in the back of the net to take a 1-0 advantage early in the first half. Lee kept the ball in the RedHawk defensive third for the majority of the first half, out shooting Martin Methodist, 6-2.

DECATUR, Ala. - Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) (15-4-3) upsets No. 1-seed Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), 2-0, to advance to the semifinal round of the 2009 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship in Decatur, Ala. The Sea Lions freshman keeper Tiffany Kracy saved five shots in the match to earn her 13th shutout of the season.

Point Loma Nazarene earned its first goal in the 41st minute when senior reserve Ashley Adams headed home a cross from junior Lauren Hernandez past the Blue Raider keeper to take a 1-0 lead. The Sea Lions held a 1-0 advantage at the intermission.
