The NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round wrapped up
today with 15 matches. Ten of the 15 hosts were winners including
defending national champion Bethel (Tenn.). Overall, the 15 National
Championship Opening Round winners join host Fresno Pacific (Calif.)
for the National Championship final site which occurs from Nov. 30 –
Dec. 5.

1 seed Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) handled Lee (Tenn.), 2-0 in one of 10
shutouts on the day. Three matches went into overtime including the
Biola and Texas at Brownsville match that ended in a shoot-out. Biola
prevailed on penalty kicks 4-3 and advanced to the final site.

teams with the largest margins of victory were Rio Grande (Ohio) and
Columbia (Mo.) out-scoring their opponents 3-0. Rio Grande defeated
Lindenwood (Mo.) while Columbia took down Midland Lutheran (Neb.).
The
National Championships final site in Fresno, Calif., includes 15 games
beginning with an 11:30 a.m. PST match on Monday, Nov. 30. There are
four games scheduled during the first three days. The Semifinals are
slated for Friday, Dec. 4 at 2 and 4:30 p.m. and the 2009 champion is
crowned at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5. For ticket information in
